As a child, you are covered by family insurance until you are 18 years old. If you are not employed, your family insurance ends at the age of 23. If you are studying and have a maximum monthly income of €538, you can even do so up to the age of 25. As soon as you start training, your family insurance ends and you automatically get your own contract. If you are married and earn less than €505 per month, you can also have family insurance with your spouse.
